I’m a public interest communicator with a Master’s in Climate Communication from the University of Florida and a a B.A. in Public Policy and Environmental Systems and Society from UCLA. I served as the Communications Lead for the environmental nonprofit, 501CTHREE.org from 2020-2023, and prior to that, was the Assistant General Manager of UCLA Radio, a student-run nonprofit, where I produced several environmental radio programs.
I have been a journalist from my elementary school’s morning announcements through college radio production. I am experienced in public interest communication strategy, social impact, writing, multimedia storytelling, audio production, story development, and scientific and technical communication.
I am a first-generation American who speaks fluent Portuguese, Russian, and English. In my free time, I love drinking matcha, spending time with loved ones (that includes my cat, Framboesa), and kayaking.
In 2021-2023, I was recognized by the Aspen Institute as one of 100 Future Climate Leaders, and was also awarded fellowships by the Rachel Carson Council Fellow and the Florida Climate Institute. I have written speeches for my environmental idols, and produced content for Complex, Apple TV, YouTube, and NowThis. In the future, I hope to broaden my impact as a professor of Environmental Communications, and teach others how to effectively tell empowering stories about our environment.
